HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Alexis and I are hanging out today. We are going trailer or treating tonight with Laurie and David this evening at a trailer sales place. I like safe and fun. Plus I will have some help if the ster man does not make it home tonight. So far all looks good that he will be able to be here.

For those of you that have been fussy about his phone we got it back from Sprint and it works and he has it. So call him but not till after 6 to keep his minutes to a dull roar.

For my interested parties in Texas we will leave the day before Thanksgiving and drive to San Antonio then Saturday will will drive back to Tulia and Sunday we will head home. We cannot wait to see all of you.

Everybody is sick

UGH so everybody is sick and I am exhausted. Jack started and then it snowballed from there. So I have 3 sick kids a sick husband who is on the road and a sick me. Of corse there is no time for mom to be sick she must be up all night with the 3 kids who keep getting up coughing, running fevers, and throwing up phlem. I have no cold medicine and they have taken them off the shelves. I guess I understand why but whoever said they do not work does not live in my house. This is one of those times when I really wish there was even one person nearby who could lend a hand. Someone to vent to rather than venting over the internet to cyberspace.

Michal had his last soccer game this weekend and as in every last game he cannot wait for next season to start. He played a great game. He has amazing foot control with a soccer ball. He can do things on the fly I know he could not do if he were concentrating on his feet. His instinct with a soccer ball is so much fun to watch.

Jackson had a good weekend too. He enjoyed playing at the church party they went to. He got to help dad fix his truck. Yes thank goodness he made it home this weekend. I may have gone crazy otherwise.

We are going trick or treating country style this week. There is a big to do at the trailer sales. Each trailer will give out candy and they have over 200 trailers for sale so I think that will be plenty of Halloweening.

I have been mad scrapping lately. I finished a book for Clint, and have 2 of ours all caught up. I want to be caught up and have pages done through the end of the year by the time we go to Texas for Thanksgiving. Ang I have some catalogs for you and will bring them with me.

Sterling likes his job but sure misses the family.

Pumpkins

So the school took the kids to the pumpkin patch this year. Mom volunteered to drive, remind me not to do that again, anyway we had so much fun. The boys picked out great pumpkins and had a blast. We were there 4 hours. So this weekend we carved the pumpkins. It was Sterling's first time ever to carve a pumpkin. They both came out great.

Today is day one of the first trip. Sterling will be in Roswell until the weekend at least. The next trip is already scheduled and will last longer than this one. It is good because he gets more money but we sure will miss him. The other bummer about it is that now I am on my own with not much help around. Right about now is when I wish we had moved to Texas. Of corse it does not help that Jack and I are sick and I am doing all I can to keep Alexis from getting the bug we have.
On a more positive note, it is looking like a mellow week. I have very few errands and think I will get some time to get caught up on the scrapbooks. FINALLY. I need to finish up last year and get started on this year for Clint's book, plus get our up to date. We just have a few things left to move in but they are too heavy for me so I will wait until Sterling gets back.

I was so worried he was going to fall on his bum. It was Cameron's birthday party and so much fun. Friday Clint gets here and Michal is so excited. And I will upload pictures tomorrow. BTW DIAL UP SUCKS!!!! :)

What a CRAZY week

We have had a crazy week. Jack about lopped off the tip of his finger and is in stitches. So we have been back & forth to town for doctor appointments so much. I am looking forward to quiet this week.

Michal is doing really well in soccer. Alexis had her 4 month appointment and is 25 in 14 lb. Other than that we are all good even Jack's finger.

And last for today

Yes I had a bit of downime. I should be cleaning out the garage though. Oh well I am wiped from the week. I need a low key day. So here is a picture from yesterday of my babies sleeping and then one of Jack at the car wash. He really hates the car wash but the truck needed it sooooo bad. Tristen tried cheering him up and when that did not work he just joined him. Tomorrow we will post some soccer pics of my big boy.

To my friends with older kids, Please hold your kids tight. Lately we have heard so many terrible stories about babies but the bigger ones are in danger too. At the fair we could have lost Michal. I know that sounds scary but a predator had his hands on my sweet boy. He had one hand on his shoulder and one hand on his head. When he pulled Michal, Michal tugged at the stroller I was also holding and it made me turn around. Sterling did too. The guy took off. Later he was caught in Arizona on some very serious child molestation and child porn charges. By later I mean just 9 days later. He tried to hang himself in custody and died 2 days after that from complications. But just think how close we came to being another tragedy. Even when they are almost 8 you have to hold them tight.

My children are my life. I don't know what I would do if I ever lost one of them. Please be careful.

For those of you who wanted to see my new house

It has 4 bedrooms, a loft, 2 1/2 baths (or as Jack says 3 potties,) and 11 closets. Plus your standard kitchen, living room, dining room. It also has a neat covered patio and lots of nice porch space. Oh yeah a huge laundry room that doubles as a 1/2 bath...dunno about that one, but it seems to work. There are great windows and views to just die for. I love nights with a glass of iced tea (grammie notice I cheat and have an iced tea maker in my kitchen) on my front porch watching the stars.
